The Advising as Coaching program is a new addition to the Advising Center. A sample of students receive advising utilizing the advising as coaching model developed by McClellan-Moser. Advisors use questions to coach them towards educational goals. The process includes: active listening, determining the desire, dream, and/or problem; evaluating what has been done; identifying and selecting options; and engaging and evaluating the plan. Students are required to attend meetings with advisors and complete student learning outcomes.
