It is the cornerstone for students’ academic success at
Mountain View College. Registration, advising, student tutorials,
adding/dropping classes, academic plans, degree plans, academic
workshops, transfer services, and core curriculum requirements are some
of the many services that we provide.
Advisors are trained to work with students using a holistic approach, allowing students to actively learn and engage in conversation that promotes student success.
Community Service and Social Events
The Advising Center wants students to get to know their campus and community. We sponsor on campus social events, allowing our students an opportunity to build relationships with fellow students, as well as faculty and staff. The Advising Center also provides opportunities for community service.
Degree Planning and Mapping
The Advising Center staff assists students with selecting and mapping out a personal plan of action that will enhance their matriculation to degree attainment.
Financial Aid/Scholarship Assistance
The Advising Center staff helps students with filling out FASFA forms and other related information, in order to assists students with the financial aid process.
New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation is mandatory for all first-year, first time college students. It is designed to promote your personal academic success and individual development related to campus and state requirements, academic advising, and class registration. Orientation helps to prepare students for their college experience.
