Thank you for your interest in running for office for the Mountain View College Student Government Association (SGA). By running for office, you are making a commitment to your fellow students to represent them in all of your actions. If elected, you will have a unique opportunity to further develop your leadership skills and to improve your campus. Serving on The SGA Board is truly an honor and comes with great responsibility. This responsibility requires dedication to the mission of SGA, and the ability of each student to give a considerable amount of time to their office and the students that they serve in their role. For that reason, all candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements to run for an SGA Officer position:
Must be an enrolled student at, Mountain View College for the fall and spring semesters.
Candidates must submit an application for candidacy. Applications are available here or in the Office of Student Life (S1032).
All candidates must maintain a 2.5 GPA with a minimum of 6 credit hours (if not maintained will result in removal from office).
All candidates must be in good standing with the College according to Mountain View College student conduct policy and have no outstanding student conduct concerns.
Every officer must be available to attend scheduled MVCSGA officer and general meetings.
