Montgomery GI Bill Recipients

New Students to Mountain View College using MVC Degree plans 

(Transfer or New to college)

 

All GI Bill ® recipients must complete the following:

  1. Establish an MVC VA record. (A record is required for all VA students)

    Establishing a Record forms: All G.I. Bill recipients need the following forms to establish a record in our VA Office.


  2. Requesting certification: Submit your Registration Summary after payment arrangements have been made. Submit every term you desire benefits.

  3. Changes in enrollment/attendance/participation. Please submit to the VA Office within 2 weeks of adjustments.

  4. Monthly Verifications. (Only required for CH 30 and 1606)

  5. Application for Educational Benefits. (apply online GI Bill®) Download Paper form

  6. NOTE:
    • VA 22-1990 form is for Active Duty members, Reservist and Veterans.
    • VA 22-5490 form is for Dependents and Spouse of the Military member.

  7. Apply for Financial Aid (recommended) at www.fafsa.ed.gov.*

  8. Apply for Admission.

  9. College Entrance Exams. (if required)

  10. An Official Degree Plan must be on file. The Degree Plan request form is currently available in Admissions and in the VA Offices.

  11. Transcripts must be turned into the Admissions Office.

  12. Register for classes - For new students of the colleges of the DCCCD. Returning students,  please go to eConnect - To register and pay for classes.

Returning Students to Mountain View College 

(previously attended at MVC)

    1. Make sure our Admissions office has your current information. Email addresses and phone numbers changes can be made online at eConnect.

    2. Register for classes that apply to your official degree plan on file.

    3. Requesting certification: Submit your Registration Summary after payment arrangements have been made.

Concurrent /Supplemental enrollment

 (Official Degree Plan is located somewhere else other than Mountain View College, but taking classes hosted by MVC)

  1. Make sure our Admissions office has your current information. Email addresses and phone numbers changes can be made online at eConnect.

  2. A Parent Institute Letter must be on file from your home institution.
