This article appeared in the Oct. 22, 2019, issue of the student newsletter.

Did you know many financial aid programs have limited funds and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis? It's important to apply and submit required documents as soon as possible so you don't miss out.

So, if you think you might be attending classes during the 2020-2021 school year, go ahead and fill out the FAFSA now.

Remember that you have to fill out the FAFSA every year. However, if you complete it online, you can use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool. The tool can help you by reducing errors and documents requested by the Financial Aid Office.
