North Lake North Campus Kicks Off Programming Initiative

This article appeared in the Jan. 22, 2019, issue of the student newsletter.

The Library and Testing Center at North Lake's North Campus is now hosting fun, creative and informative programs every month. The new programs are open to all students, staff, faculty and the public — and best of all, they are free.

For January, we are celebrating National Hobby Month by exploring a fun, new hobby each week through the end of the month. Programs will take place on weekdays from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., and each event is come and go. Anyone interested can stop by and check out the exciting developments. Stay tuned for upcoming programs from the LRTC!

The pilot program, Santa's Pet Workshop, was held in December in collaboration with the NLC Pet Supply Drive. Attendees made dog and cat toys out of old T-shirts and socks. With the donations and help of the attendees, the program produced 38 cat toys and 28 dog toys.

The Library and Testing Center is in room N115. For questions or comments, contact Angela Harris at 972-860-4422.
