It’s nice outside, but soon it will be hot, hot, hot!
Take advantage of the spring weather while you can. Grab a friend, leash your dog, and head to the Arts in Action festival this Saturday, April 1, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The free outdoor arts festival will be held at Eastfield College to help kickoff the school’s annual Literary and Fine Arts Festival.
Free and open to the public, Arts in Action will feature family-friendly activities. The festival will offer an outdoor ballet barre, karaoke, a pop-up art shop, a collaborative mural, mask-making stations, a ceramics demonstration, a gallery exhibition (featuring work from Will Heron) and performances from the Eastfield College guitar ensemble and jazz students.
The activities aren’t the only thing that is free, however. Food has been generously donated by Nova restaurant, a Dallas favorite.
So, what are you waiting for? Get that SPF 30, bring your ballet shoes and let’s celebrate the arts!
