Founded in 1938, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), is an association of community college athletic departments across the nation.
The NJCAA is divided into
24 regions, with Region V representing 28 colleges throughout Texas and New Mexico. A handful of these 28 colleges will move forward to compete in the district championships. Those names are being decided as we speak.
Men's Soccer
Tonight (Oct.18), two Dallas Community College teams will compete for the title of NJCAA Region V Champions: the Richland College Thunderducks and the Mountain View College Lions. The game begins at 7 p.m. at Richland College.
Teams will play a best-of-three series. The winner will move to the NJCAA
2016 Division III Men's Soccer District Championship (location TBD). Then, finally, a district winner will progress to the NJCAA
2016 Division III Men's Soccer National Championship in New York.
Currently
Richland Men's Soccer is ranked #1 in the nation.
Women's Soccer
Five DCCCD colleges are sending teams to compete in the MAC 2016 Women's Soccer Championship Oct.25-29 in Dallas. Those teams are Brookhaven College, Eastfield College, North Lake College, Mountain View College and Richland College.
MAC Women's Soccer Championship
- The "Preliminary Round – Tuesday, Oct. 25
- Semifinals – Thursday, Oct.27
MAC/NJCAA District F Championship
The Tournament Champion will be the NJCAA District F representative in the NJCAA
2016 Division III Women's Soccer National Championship to be held in Toms River, New Jersey, Nov. 10-13, 2016.
Women's Volleyball
Six DCCCD colleges will compete in the MAC 2016 Women's Volleyball Championship Oct. 26-29 in Dallas. Those teams are Brookhaven College, Cedar Valley College, Eastfield College, North Lake College, Mountain View College and Richland College.
The MAC Regular season Champions will host the tournament and will receive a first round BYE as will the MAC regular season Runner Up.

- The "Preliminary Round – Wednesday Oct. 26
- Semifinals – Friday, Oct. 28
NJCAA District C Championship
The Tournament Champion will be the NJCAA District C representative in the NJCAA
2016 Division III Volleyball National Championship to be held in Rochester, Minnesota November 13-14.

Six out of seven Dallas Community Colleges compete in NJCAA Division III (or D-III). El Centro College does not have a sports program. As Division III schools, the Dallas Community Colleges do not offer athletic scholarships.
