DCCCD Will Test New Emergency Notification System Dec. 7-8

With a focus on safety and strong communication, DCCCD will test two potential Emergency Alert vendors next week:

  • Vendor R will send an Emergency Alert Test on Dec. 7 at 10 a.m.
  • Vendor E will send an Emergency Alert Test on Dec. 8 at 10 a.m.

Please follow the instructions provided in the message(s). For example: Vendor E will ask you to confirm receipt of the message. Vendor R will not.

Depending on your Emergency Alerts preferences, during this test you may receive a combination of communications including email, SMS text and phone call.  All current students automatically receive DCCCD Emergency Alerts by email.   Phone and text messaging, however, require opt in.

We'll email you a survey after the tests to get your feedback.

DCCCD Emergency Alerts are sent to help inform you of important instructions and details in the event of an emergency.

Help your friends stay safe by encouraging them to add their mobile phone numbers to DCCCD Emergency Alerts.
