MVC CPA Program: Getting Started

January 1st of each year is the deadline to meet steps 1 through 5 on this page to begin CPA classes for Summer. April 30th of each year is the deadline for Fall. August 31st of each year is the deadline for Spring. You must be clear of all blocks by the deadline to be considered for course approval.

In order to make the process more efficient, please follow the steps outlined below to being the CPA program at Mountain View College.

  1. You must already have a Bachelor's degree or higher in any subject before you apply for the MVC CPA Program.
  2. If you are a foreign student with a degree from a non-US institution, you must first complete your letter of intent with the TSBPA and have received their evaluation of your foreign transcripts before you apply for the MVC CPA Program. Please note that you will still have to submit your transcripts to the MVC Registrar's office following the instructions in step 5 in order to be accepted as a student in the DCCCD system.
  3. Apply to Mountain View College or update your application if you have not taken classes in a year or more from any of the college of DCCCD. You will be given an ID number at this time if not, contact MVC Admissions. You must complete this step, the application to the college, otherwise we will not have a way to contact you throughout the process.
  4. Fill out the MVC CPA Application Form at
  5. Request ALL undergraduate AND graduate transcripts to be sent directly from the colleges to MVC:

Official transcripts can be emailed electronically to (from the colleges/universities issuing the transcripts). Emailed unofficial transcripts will not be accepted.

Transcripts cannot be hand delivered by the student. International transcripts must be evaluated by a credentialing agency for the U.S. equivalency. A TSBPA evaluation is not sufficient. You can find a list of approved credentialing agencies at

Once the Director of our program has reviewed your application, you will receive an email decision from them stating your acceptance or denial into the program. Once you are accepted into the program, your transcripts will be evaluated and you will receive an email from the Director giving you details on their evaluation and your next steps to register for the upcoming semester. Please note that this program is in high demand and we receive hundreds of applicants each year. The review process is not quick, so please have patience once you have completed all of the steps to apply for the program.
