Taking classes online is a great way to earn a degree or professional certificate, but not everyone is suited to online learning. Before you start, make sure you're a good fit for online learning.
*Step 1: ApplyTo take classes for college credit, you must complete the application for admissions.
Step 2: SubmitSubmit your transcripts. Students taking only online classes do not need to submit meningitis documentation but must fill out the 100% Distance Education Affidavit.
Step 3: Get AidStudents are encouraged to explore financial aid opportunities and apply for aid as soon as possible at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Step 4: AssessmentPrior to attending online orientation, New to College Students must demonstrate readiness for collegiate level work
Step 5: OrientationOrientation is required for all new to college students only. Please contact the online advising department to complete your new to college online orientation.
Step 6: Advise/RegisterSpeak with an Online Academic Advisor by calling 972-669-6400 or submit an online advising form and a learning specialist will contact you.
Step 7: PaymentPayment for your classes can be made through the Business Services office.
*Students from a state other than Texas might not be eligible to attend Mountain View College. Please check the Distance Education State Authorization site to see if your state is on the State Authorized Approved list.
