Rochelle Self-Drake holds a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from San Francisco State University and a master’s degree in adult learning and distance education from the University of Phoenix.
For 11 years, she worked as a paralegal in plaintiffs’ civil rights and employment discrimination litigation. She also worked as a cooperative education coordinator at Skyline College in San Bruno, California, for eight years.
She was hired in 2002 as a degree audit admissions specialist for North Lake College and soon promoted to the position of district transcript evaluator for the DCCCD. She became an academic advisor at Mountain View College in 2004 in order to add student development experience to her professional experience. She has been with the Nursing Department since 2007.
Ms. Self-Drake serves as coordinator of academic programs in Mountain View’s Allied Health/Nursing department and teaches Human Development courses as an adjunct faculty member. She has assisted students with transfer evaluation, advisement, registration, program admissions, retention and degree plan completion.
