Emilie Allen, M.S.N., RNC-NIC

Emilie Allen has been a nurse for more than 30 years, with 20 years in nursing education. Her professional experience began as a staff RN and member of the Neonatal Resuscitation and Transport Team at Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas. She has also held positions as unit based educator, residency coordinator, resuscitation coordinator, manager of occupational health, and manager and director of clinical education at Parkland over a 22-year period. 

Ms. Allen has been actively involved with the American Heart Association's Get with the Guidelines – Resuscitation (GWTG-R) program since 2004, where she assisted with the creation of the neonatal module, supported hospitals across the nation with resuscitation practices and provided education to certified data abstractors.  She serves on the Clinical Working Group and Pediatric Research Task Force for the GWTG-R.  She was named one of DFW's Great 100 Nurses in 2015.

Ms. Allen has a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock and a master's degree from the University of Texas at Tyler.  She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, Texas Nurses Association, the Association for Nursing Professional Development and American Organization for Nurse Executives. She is certified in High Risk Neonatal Intensive Care.
