Mountain View College will accept transfer or reapplication students on an as-available basis only. The Readmission/Transfer Committee will make a decision to approve or deny requests and notify the student in writing of its decision. Those approved will be ranked after the completion of each semester
available spaces according to the following priority order:
First priority: students who withdraw from any MVC nursing course for personal or health reasons and are in good academic standing who are reapplying. This includes, but is not limited to family crisis, pregnancy, illness, or financial difficulties.
Second priority: students who withdraw from or fail an MVC nursing theory course or support course for academic reasons and are reapplying.
Third priority: transfer students in good standing.
Fourth priority: students who withdraw from an MVC
clinical nursing course for poor performance or who fail the course.
Transfer students must first meet all requirements for the nursing program and may only transfer from a “block” program. Both transfer and reapplication students are eligible to transfer into the 2nd, 3rd or 4th semesters only, depending on available space. Transfer students must take at least 50% of their course work at DCCCD in order to graduate from MVC. Course credit will not be given to any hours accumulated in a nursing program with an “integrated curriculum”.
