The office of International Students / ESL Programs and Services is devoted to the unique personal and educational goals and needs of the diverse international community at Mountain View College. 

  • Small ESL classes (8 –18 students per class)
  • Experienced, trained professional ESL instructors
  • Computer lab for ESL/ESOL classes
  • Internet Access
  • Library privileges
  • At least 5 hours and 20 minutes instructional hours each week
  • Free conversation practice through the Service Learning Program (International conversation partners)
  • ESL students are considered regular members of the college and can join all events and clubs
  • Educating the college about and acting as a resource for questions pertaining to federal immigration regulations affecting foreign students
  • Serving as Mountain View’s Designated School Official, for F1 students, and Responsible Officer, for J1 exchange visitors
  • Advising students how to secure visas, maintain immigration status, and secure the benefits of that status
  • Managing SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) compliance
  • Creating an environment of openness, curiosity, and knowledge to inspire the Mountain View College community to explore new cultures and experiences
