Plan and Execute Special Events: RecycleMania, Earth Day, workshops, conferences
Each year MVC participates in special events that are successful only through student involvement. Sc3 participants assist in development and coordination of speakers, pledge drives, kick-off events, event booths, and community conferences and workshops.
Assist and Collaborate in the NEW “Living Labs at Mountain View College”
Mountain View is home to DCCCD's first Living Labs: Community Garden, Aquaponics Lab and Outdoor Classroom. Facilitate involvement in our Living Labs by assisting gardeners in the Community Garden, growing food in the Aquaponics Lab or supporting faculty use of the Outdoor Classroom stations and materials.
Involvement in Sc3 fulfills one of the requirements of the
Sustainability Scholar program.
Sc3 meets most Tuesdays
Time: 2-3 p.m.
The mission of the Student Climate & Conservation Congress (Sc3) is to empower students to address natural resource conservation and climate change challenges.
