New Students to Mountain View College using MVC Degree plans (Transfer or New to college)
All GI Bill recipients must complete the following:
- Establish an MVC VA record. (A record is required for all VA students)
- Requesting certification: Submit your Registration Summary after payment arrangements have been made. Submit every term you desire benefits.
- Changes in enrollment/attendance/participation. Please submit to the VA Office within 2 weeks of adjustments.
- Monthly Verifications. (Only required for CH 30 and 1606)
- Application for Educational Benefits. (apply online GI Bill) Download Paper form
- NOTE:
• VA 22-1990 form is for Active Duty members, Reservist and Veterans.
• VA 22-5490 form is for Dependents and Spouse of the Military member.
- Apply for Financial Aid (recommended) at www.fafsa.ed.gov.*
- Apply for Admission.
- College Entrance Exams. (if required)
- An Official Degree Plan must be on file. The Degree Plan request form is currently available in Admissions and in the VA Offices.
- Transcripts must be turned into the Admissions Office.
- Register for classes - For new students of the colleges of the DCCCD. Returning students, please go to eConnect - To register and pay for classes.
- Download a detailed Veteran Enrollment Check-List with helpful tidbits for new students to Mountain View College.
Returning Students to Mountain View College (previously attended at MVC) - Make sure our Admissions office has your current information. Email addresses and phone numbers changes can be made online at eConnect.
- Register for classes that apply to your official degree plan on file.
- Requesting certification: Submit your Registration Summary after payment arrangements have been made.
Concurrent /Supplemental enrollment (Official Degree Plan is located somewhere else other than Mountain View College, but taking classes hosted by MVC)
- Make sure our Admissions office has your current information. Email addresses and phone numbers changes can be made online at eConnect.
- A Parent Institute Letter must be on file from your home institution.
