After you have completed the application, orientation, assessment and advisement process, you can register in one of two ways:
1. In person
Visit the Admissions/Registrar’s Office.
If you are new to MVC, we strongly recommend that you register in person at our college so you can get information about course prerequisites, the degrees we offer, the Texas Success Initiative (TSI), tuition and other important topics.
2. Online
Registration Dates
You may need to provide proof of meningitis vaccination to register.
Students can no longer register after a class has met once. So be sure to register early!
Stop Before You Drop
Under Texas law (TEC Section 51.907), if you drop too many classes without having an acceptable reason, your GPA could be affected. Be sure you understand how this law may affect you before you drop a class.
This law applies to students who enroll in a Texas public institution of higher education (including colleges of DCCCD) for the first time in fall 2007 or later. Under this law, you may not drop more than six classes without an acceptable reason during your entire undergraduate career without penalty. For more information, please see our catalog or read
Facts About Dropping Classes.
