"Course Technology Scholarship"Course Technology Scholarship

This scholarship, established January of 2006, is designed to provide support for students currently enrolled in Computer Science Courses at Mountain View College.  The scholarship monies are provided through the generosity of Course Technology and Thomson Publishers.

Designated College Mountain View College

Criteria for Selection Course Technology recipients must be,
U.S. Citizen.
Currently enrolled in one or more Computer Science Courses at Mountain View College.
NOT currently receiving financial aid
Current GPA of 3.0 or higher in most recent transcript (last two years of High School or last semester of college).

Application Process

Students must submit the following documentation to the division/department encompassing the Computer Science discipline at Mountain View College,

DCCCD Foundation Scholarship Application Form

Evidence of U.S. Citizenship
Evidence of current enrollment in one or more Computer Science Courses
Current transcript

Selection Process

The full-time faculty of Mountain View College will review submissions and determine awardees and amounts.  Preference will be given to students currently classified as sophomores.

Deadline For application:  Last week of March to Computer Science department

Forwarding of awardees applications to Financial Aid Office: 
                             No later than April 15th

Notification to awardees:   No later than May 1st

Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) 2006 National Scholarship ProgramThe Hispanic College Fund (HCF) in partnership with the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) are once again working together on a scholarship program. HCF was founded in 1993 to develop the next generation of Hispanic business leaders in America by awarding scholarships to deserving Hispanic students. ALPFA, founded in 1972, was the first national Hispanic professional association in the United States. Together, HCF and ALPFA are providing scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in accounting or finance-related fields.
ALPFA would like to remind all eligible students to apply for the ALPFA National Scholarship Program. It is a simple process and please note that the top 50 students will be invited to attend the 2006 ALPFA National Convention at NO cost. Please make sure to apply and submit all the required documentation early in order to be considered for the program.
What are the eligibility criteria?

Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the fifty states or Puerto Rico
Be studying full-time in the United States or Puerto Rico with a minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point average based on a 4.0 scale
Be able to demostrate financial need
Be pursuing an undergraduate or masters degree in an accounting, finance, business administration, IT or related field.
How much is the scholarship for? Scholarships will range from $1,250 - $5,000.

What is the deadline? You must submit your application online at http://scholarships.hispanicfund.org by midnight (EST) April 15th, 2006 and all documents must be submitted to HCF by April 30th, 2006.

You will be given an option of programs to apply for. Select the ALPFA Scholarship Program.
