How do I get a grant written to fund my program or idea?

. We are thrilled to help MVC faculty and staff turn dreams into projects and fundable proposals! When you meet, discussion topics will include an overview of your proposed initiative, time-frame for project implementation and potential impact of program relating to the Mountain View College mission and vision statements.
How many grant funded projects are there at Mountain View College?
As of August 1, 2008, there are fifteen grant funded initiatives operating at Mountain View College. These include Title V (Strengthening Instituions), TRIO, FIPSE, and the recently funded Upward Bound programs.
PROCEDURES
Who should complete a Time and Effort form?
Any person who receives compensation from a grant funded initiative (Fund 13) must complete a Time and Effort report. Please vist the 'Document Library' for sample forms.
How do I purchase an item with grant funds?
Any purchase made with grant funds must be approved by the appropriate MVC grant manager. Please note that all purhcases from a grant-funded account must follow District and campus purchasing policies. Please contact Alice Atchison at 214-860-8818 with any questions.
