Dual Credit program offers high school juniors and seniors a chance to earn college credit while completing high school requirements at NO COST! Dual Credit courses are offered in a variety of courses, including Math, Science, English, Economics, History, Government and more!

Department Announcements
What are the passing scores?
To enroll in college courses, students must present a passing score on the Accuplacer or Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA).
 
The following are the minimum test scores for students to be accepted in the Dual Credit program:
  • TAKS (exit level):  2200 in math and/or English language arts with a writing score of 3 or 4
  • SAT: 500 verbal, 500 math, 1070 composite
  • SAT II: 500 reading, 500 math,  1070 composite
  • ACT: 19 verbal, 19 math, 23 composite
  • ACCUPLACER: 78 reading, 80+ verbal with 5+ on essay, 69/64 college algebra
  • THEA: 230 reading, 220 writing, 270 math
