Dial 972-860-4290 or dial 4290 from any college phone. There are emergency phones located in the campus parking lots, sports complex and jogging trail. Emergency phones may also be found inside the campus buildings. These phones are usually red in color, marked “Emergency Phone” and affixed to a wall.
Information to give the College Police Dispatcher:
Your name and the location from which you are calling from.
Describe what has happened or the nature of your call.
Give detailed information on any suspects involved.
In the event of injuries, whether an ambulance is needed.
You may also report knowledge you have of any: theft, vandalism, threats, suspicious activity, disruptive students, verbal abuse, drug activity, or traffic accidents/violations/speeding.
Security Issues may also be reported such as: trip hazards, electrical hazards, inoperative doors/outdoor lighting, parking hazards, locked/malfunctioning doors, or fire hazards.
Be prepared to answer specific questions the dispatcher may ask in order to obtain necessary information relevant to your call for service.
The Mountain View College Police Department is responsible for investigating, and disseminating information on all incidents, injuries, and emergency situations to the appropriate college administrator or outside agency. All offenses occurring on campus should be promptly reported to the Mountain View College Police Department. All reported incidents will be handled in a timely and appropriate manner. Every effort is made to keep the college community informed on a timely basis of serious crime-related incidents.
