Advanced Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management
The Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management presents a strong instructional foundation for beginning and successfully operating a small business venture. The curriculum spans all the stages of small business development, including financial planning and management, marketing strategies, and operational management. The professional certificate’s capstone course teaches you how to finalize your business plan and practice the next steps to executing and managing a successful business.
To earn an Advanced Entrepreneurship Certificate students must complete 72 contact hours of core courses and a minimum of 18 contact hours of elective courses. Students may select a minimum of 2 of the ten elective course options available in any given semester. Workshops and seminars are not applicable towards an Advanced Entrepreneurship Certificate. Students must complete 90 total contact hours of lecture courses and a minimum of 5 counseling sessions with a certified business counselor to be awarded a certificate of completion.

Who Will Benefit?
If you are an aspiring entrepreneur, small business owner, or new leader this certificate gives you the tools to better understand the business and market forces; and entrepreneurial theories and practices that will help your new or existing venture prosper.
The curriculum consists of 6 required core courses and a minimum of 2 elective courses. Candidates must pay a nonrefundable certificate registration fee. All coursework must be completed within one year of registering for the certificate. However, requirements may be updated based on new developments in the field of study; we recommend completing the curriculum in a timely fashion.
Each course is priced individually, but the certificate has an estimated cost of $1,450 and includes course materials. Course fees are subject to change.
