Checklist: Certificate Program Enrollment Process
Steps prior to your 1st semester:
1. Obtain approval for all classes within your certificate program from your directorate at AAFES for the tuition sponsorship. Once you secured all signatures save a copy of it for your own records.
5. Submit your AAFES Registration Form along with your AAFES-MVC CERTIFICATE APPLICATION to Sandra Stratman at AAFES Corporate University. Her signature is required on both forms; she will submit these forms directly to us.
Please keep a copy of all documents for you own records.
6. We will register you for the class(es) based on your AAFES Registration Form. (Please make sure it is filled out completely and correctly)
IMPORTANT: If you plan to take online classes for the first time or if it is your first time to take an online class for college credit, we highly encourage you to take the assessment (link provided on main Corporate College page) to check your level on online readiness. The results will only come to you and should help you decide if online is the right mode of delivery for you. Online courses are NOT easier then lecture courses and require more discipline and initiative from the student.
Steps for all consecutive semesters:
1. Obtain AAFES approval for classes you plan to enroll in. If your initial AAFES-MVC CERTIFICATE APPLICATION covered all courses in your certificate program, make sure this form is still current and valid.
2. Each semester you MUST fill out a new AAFES Registration Form. Enrolling for a class is a choice that only the student can make and initiate. You will NOT automatically get enrolled for the next course on your approval form.
3. Submit your AAFES Registration Form to Sandra Stratman at AAFES Corporate University. Her signature is required on both forms; she will submit these forms directly to us.
4. We will register you for the class(es) based on your AAFES Registration Form. (Please make sure it is filled out completely and correctly)
