Mountain View College offers Airport Safety and Operations Program
Today's airport personnel must adhere to stringent Federal Aviation Administration standards. With that reality in mind, Mountain View College has developed an Airport Safety and Operations Program specifically designed to educate airport personnel regarding specific FAA-139 requirements and guidelines, and to help them gain a better overall understanding of how the airport service environment is affected by those requirements.
Just some of the many airport personnel who benefit from the Mountain View College Airport Safety and Operations Program include maintenance personnel, electricians, painters, installers, professional pilots, dispatch personnel and daily inspectors. Some specific topics covered in the training include communication, lighting, signs, markings and pavement.
Three separate training modules are offered, and airport employees may attend specific modules in sequence, or they may attend modules most pertinent to their respective responsibilities and job descriptions. Attendees will be assessed at the conclusion of each module and recommendations for improvement provided by instructors. All attendees will be tested at the conclusion of their entire module training to evaluate their proficiency in the required areas.
The Airport Safety and Operations Program is conducted jointly between the Mountain View College Contract Training Department and the Mountain View College Aviation Program. Training conducted as part of the program is also required for all Mountain View College aviation students earning an associate of science degree in airport management.
Thanks to the flexible nature of Contract Training Services offered at Mountain View College, aviation-related companies can usually offer training for employees on campus, or at locations most convenient to clients and their employees.
CTS also offers the only Airport Safety and Operations Training in Texas. For more information, please contact Michael A. Johnson, Sr. at 214-860-8767. |
