James Behan is full-time Professor of Art. The instructor uses collaborative learning as a way to teach in the classroom - students work together in groups on a daily basis to discuss topics, study, encourage and strengthen classroom community. Face to face interaction with other students and the instructor occurs almost every class time. Assignments include reading, writing, attendance to campus events, group activities during class and a creative final project that focuses on students' individual personalities and identities.
