The office of Disability Services verifies all physical, emotional, ADD, ADHD, and other learning disabilities in order to specify the appropriate disability-specific accommodations and/or adaptations that will assist each student registered in Disability Services in obtaining his/her academic objectives. This office also provides access to appropriate services that will allow the student to fully participate in both out-of-class and in-class activities. We encourage all students to become familiar with the resources of the office for Students with Disabilities by making an appointment with one of our staff members
Policy and ProceduresEach student requesting accommodations at Mountain View College must provide Office of Students with Disabilities appropriate documentation that stipulates a specific diagnosis of a disability covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act and meet with the coordinator or the assistant to the coordinator to determine official accommodations that are disability specific. All documents are treated with the utmost confidentiality to protect each student's privacy. Academic accommodations should be reviewed each semester as the demands of each course differ and individual circumstances change.
